RIVERLAND HARVEST FESTIVAL AND GREAT GRAPE
STOMP
4 April 2008
It's that time of the year again - the grapes are off the vines, the
vintage has begun, it's time for the Harvest Festival, which
promises to be a feast of fun, food and entertainment for the
whole family. The grape harvest will be celebrated in authentic
style with the evening's main event, The Great Grape Stomp. The
action gets fast, furious and well, sticky as teams race to fill a
bottle of juice from their barrel of grapes in the tradition
(barefoot) manner. Teams of all ages are invited to stomp, with
prize money on offer in the Senior Stomp and Junior Stomps.
